Requirements
- 10+ years of legal experience with law firm and in-house roles preferred
- Expertise negotiating complex enterprise commercial contracts including SaaS agreements MSAs and DPAs
- Deep knowledge of privacy and data protection laws including GDPR CCPA and related regulations
- Experience advising product and engineering teams on data and legal issues
- Experience handling employment law matters including investigations separation agreements and HR support
- Familiarity with board governance equity management and investor or sponsor reporting
- Hands-on experience with M&A transactions due diligence deal execution and exit processes
- Ability to move quickly make sound decisions and build legal infrastructure with limited resources
- Strong communicator who translates complex legal issues into practical guidance
- Track record of cross-functional partnership and proactive risk identification
- Comfortable with ambiguity and energized to build a function
- J.D. from an accredited law school and active bar membership in good standing required

Day to day
- Serve as the company's primary legal advisor to the CEO executive team and board on business legal and governance matters
- Lead enterprise commercial contracting by negotiating and executing customer vendor and partner agreements
- Own privacy data and product counseling including AI data use customer terms vendor terms and regulatory issues
- Oversee employment law matters workplace investigations HR legal support board governance investor relations and M&A readiness
