Who you are

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree and admission to the bar in at least one jurisdiction
• 10+ years legal experience with significant experience in blockchain and cryptocurrency
• In-depth knowledge of global regulatory frameworks related to cryptocurrency, blockchain technology, and financial services
• Good judgment to balance between business growth and risk management
• Demonstrated strong commercial acumen
• Ability to provide practical, business-oriented legal recommendations
• Proven experience in corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and risk management
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead, influence, and collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
• High ethical standards and integrity

What the job involves

• The General Counsel serves as the chief legal advisor for Trust Wallet and provides comprehensive legal oversight
• Ensures the company operates within the legal frameworks of the jurisdictions it operates in
• Guides the company's legal strategy, manages legal risks, and ensures compliance with global regulatory requirements
• Provides strategic legal advice on regulatory compliance, intellectual property, contracts, and litigation
• Drafts, reviews, and negotiates a wide range of contracts, including partnership agreements, licensing agreements, and vendor contracts
• Works closely with other departments to provide legal support and ensure alignment with company goals
• Educates and trains employees on legal and regulatory matters as needed
