Role


Who you are

  • Proven experience in business development within the relevant industry sector, with a track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets
  • Strong business and commercial skills, including an understanding of financial drivers, contracts, NDAs, IP, payment terms, proposals, pricing, and margins
  • High sense of ownership and accountability for achieving sector pipeline and OI targets, with an entrepreneurial mindset
  • Established network in the relevant sector
  • Effective leadership and teamwork abilities with strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Professional demeanor, exuding expertise and credibility
  • Strategic thinking with the ability to identify opportunities and initiate improvements
  • Strong negotiation skills and a history of building high-performing teams
  • Ability to effectively multi-task and condense complex issues into succinct messages
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and listening skills
  • Ability to handle confidential information and excel in a fast-paced, matrix organization
  • Master’s degree in engineering or business is a plus.

What the job involves

  • Coordinate the Ricardo sales team in their sector, including direct reports, Marketing, Growth Solutions, SMEs, and stakeholders from across the business.
  • Lead, motivate, and mentor the sales team to maximize performance and achieve personal quotas.
  • Define and sell the unique benefits of Ricardo’s offerings to differentiate from competitors and drive pipeline growth.
