Remote Group Accounting Manager Job in UK Sightsavers

Who you are

• Hold an ACA accounting qualification or equivalent
• Proven technical knowledge of IFRS accounting standards and Charity SORPs
• Strong technical accounting and writing skills
• Management experience
• Experience leading audits and/or liaising with auditors
• Strong communication skills and executive presence
• Outstanding analytical skills (financial modeling)
• Project management and leadership skills
• Experience working in an environment with remote stakeholders
• Ability to make limited trips to organization's Country Offices

What the job involves

• Ensure compliance with FRS Charity SORP and other statutory/regulatory requirements
• Provide robust accounting advice to internal stakeholders
• Update new accounting standards
• Collaborate with the Governance and Compliance team
• Prepare and review FRS and UKGAAP reporting and technical accounting papers
• Advise stakeholders on technical accounting issues
• Liaise with auditors on technical accounting matters
• Implement new FRS developments/standards
• Provide internal and ad-hoc training on technical accounting
• Support the Group Accounting and Reporting Manager
