Remote Hardware Engineer Program Manager II Job in Redmond, WA Microsoft

Who you are

• Bachelor's Degree and 2+ years experience in hardware engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development OR equivalent experience
• 1+ year(s) experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects
• Ability to meet Microsoft security screening requirements, including passing the Microsoft Cloud background check

Desirables

• Bachelor's Degree and 7+ years experience in hardware engineering, product/technical program management, or product development
• 5+ years experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects
• Knowledge of high-volume server design and manufacturing
• Knowledge about datacenters & operation at scale
• 5+ years experience managing end-to-end hardware product development, preferably in cloud infrastructure hardware or server development
• Experience in program management from new product introduction (NPI) to post-product launch, including task prioritization and execution in a technological environment
• Knowledge in Microsoft Office tools and Power BI

What the job involves

• Drive technical hardware programs from requirements through launch, managing complex project schedules, removing roadblocks, and keeping processes running smoothly
• Align key stakeholders and manage projects through milestones to completion on schedule and in budget
• Lead a virtual team of functional leads from hardware and software engineering, sourcing, supply chain, networking, and datacenter operations for documenting a clear Plan-of-Record for new product development and meeting stated milestones
