Who you are

  • Install and upgrade Varian products
  • Troubleshoot and manage technical issues and support your teammates
  • Carry out customer acceptance tests and train customers in basic operation of the Varian products
  • Attend assigned Varian product trainings and maintain a high degree of professional knowledge
  • Report regularly using the Varian reporting tools
  • Independent planning and booking of business trips as well as the settlement of travel expenses
  • Willingness for extensive travel (70% / Duration of each trip: approx. 2-4 weeks)
  • Mainly within UK and Europe, once in a while globally

Desirables

  • Strong system level understanding and troubleshooting skills
  • Strong computer skills
  • Sound knowledge of processes and methods to use electronic testing equipment
  • Able to work independently as well as a part of a team
  • Dedicated, pragmatic and result-oriented approach
  • Fluency in English, written and spoken



What the job involves

  • You will be responsible for on-site installation and upgrades of medical linear accelerators and associated equipment.
  • You will have the opportunity to travel to many different countries in the European area for several weeks at a time.
  • You will be responsible for your own working timetable and providing customers the exceptional level of service that they expect from Varian.
