Remote Head of Finance Job in UK British Safety Council

Who you are

• Qualified accountant ACA ACMA ACCA CIPFA
• Advanced Excel Spreadsheet skills
• Good working understanding of GAAP & Charity SORP
• Significant experience in preparing monthly management accounts
• Clear understanding of risks relevant to the finance environment and controls required to mitigate risks
• Budget preparation forecasting budgetary monitoring & and control
• Systematic and accurate undertaking of routine finance-related tasks and utilising supporting financial systems effectively
• Managing and monitoring devolved restricted budgets
• Experience in analysing trading performance and preparing related management information
• Good working knowledge of HMRC and particularly VAT tax regulations
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Strong leadership and resource management skills
• IT literate and experience with MS packages

What the job involves

• Support all aspects of financial reporting analysis control and transactional processing
• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the finance department in the UK and India including the outsourced component in India
• Work in an international group environment with reasonably complex reporting to tight deadlines
• Utilise finance systems experience to improve processes and efficiency
