Requirements

  • JD from an accredited law school
  • Active bar admission in good standing
  • 5-10 years of post-JD experience in corporate or commercial law
  • Substantive commercial contracting experience including MSA drafting negotiation and redline management
  • Experience managing litigation and directing outside counsel
  • Experience managing legal spend against budget
  • Experience leading or mentoring legal staff
  • Distributed or international team leadership experience
  • PE-backed portfolio company experience strongly preferred
  • Fintech HCM or financial services exposure preferred

Day to day

  • Lead the Legal function and serve as the senior legal advisor across executive and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Own commercial contracting end-to-end, including MSA drafting, negotiation, redline management, and deal close.
  • Manage litigation and outside counsel while overseeing legal spend against budget and building scalable legal playbooks.
