Requirements
- In-depth knowledge and experience of human factors and cognitive psychology theory
- Understanding of the software development process and software technology
- Ability to work effectively with R&D teams
- Implement new processes to existing human factors and related systems
- Document and deliver software engineering information to management
- Work within a team and as an individual in a fast-paced, changing environment
- Ability to travel approximately 10%, including internationally
- Experience with FDA regulated, class 2 or class 3 medical devices or combination
- Knowledge of insulin-requiring diabetes and diabetes product
- Understanding of Quality System Regulations (QSR)
- Maintain a Design History File (DHF) and Usability Engineering File
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills in written and verbal form
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Factors Engineering, Experimental Psychology, Cognitive Psychology, Industrial Design, or related field
- 5+ years of experience

Day to day
- Apply human factors expertise to product definition, design, and evaluation within the R&D division
- Use human factors principles for the continuous glucose monitoring product development
- Create deliverables including usability engineering files, task analyses, and usability risk analyses
