Requirements

  • BS in electrical instrumentation mechatronics or mechanical engineering or equivalent experience
  • Sensor and instrumentation design experience including wiring harness or cable design
  • Demonstrated design for manufacturing or design for assembly experience
  • Comfort working across electrical and mechanical domains including schematics wiring diagrams and mechanical drawings
  • CAD and technical documentation proficiency including mechanical CAD harness documentation BOMs and work instructions

Nice to have

  • Cryogenic instrumentation experience
  • SRF cryomodule experience
  • Ultra-high-vacuum compatible design
  • Clean-assembly practice
  • Cold testing experience

Day to day

  • Design and integrate cryogenic instrumentation packages inside RF cryomodules, including temperature liquid-level flow and pressure sensing
  • Select specify and mount sensors while minimizing heat leak and ensuring accurate cryogenic readings
  • Create wiring harnesses connectors feedthroughs and documentation that support repeatable production and reliable assembly
  • Support fabrication testing troubleshooting and cold-test iteration while collaborating across cryogenics SRF RF vacuum controls and mechanical teams
