Who you are
- Demonstrate experience in an IT Field/Service Engineer role
- Support desktop computing, networking, and server systems
- Ability to work alone and troubleshoot issues unaided
- Methodical approach to daily tasks
- Perform hardware break-fixes
- Working knowledge of Windows desktop & server operating systems
- Capable of LAN troubleshooting
- Understanding of various network technologies
- Flexibility for extended travel times & overnight stays
- Adaptability to varying working hours
What the job involves
- Join a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Field Engineer covering the South of England
- Provide on-site IT support for incidents and requests
- Installation and decommissioning of desktop, networking, and server equipment
- Carry out on-site break-fix works when required
- Ensure operating efficiency and quality control of static sites & mobile scanners
- Troubleshoot and effect repairs of supported IT systems
- Provide installation support for new deployments & modifications
- Recommend and implement operational upgrades using best practices
- Collaborate with 3rd Parties and customers to resolve technical queries
- Deliver a first-class customer experience
- Maintain stock of equipment, cabling, parts & spares within the vehicle
- Assist other Technology teams with IT related queries
- Act as a liaison between operations staff & technology teams
