Requirements
- 4+ years of professional experience in data engineering
- Hands-on experience with BigQuery or comparable cloud warehouse
- Experience with dbt and an orchestration tool like Dagster or Airflow
- Strong SQL skills
- Fluency in Golang Python or another common data engineering language
- Track record of iteratively improving modernizing data systems
- Strong communication and collaboration skills across technical and business teams

Day to day
- Own and operate the data warehouse pipelines and transformation layer
- Design build and maintain scalable reliable pipelines that ingest internal and third-party data
- Partner with data scientists analysts and product leaders to deliver clean documented datasets and improve query performance
- Modernize existing data systems thoughtfully by assessing current infrastructure prioritizing improvements and implementing migrations
- Implement data quality monitoring alerting and documentation practices that strengthen trust across the organization
