Who you are

• Proficiency in converting technical requirements into solutions
• Experience with Linux Operating Systems, specifically RHEL
• Strong scripting skills, particularly in Terraform
• Expertise in Configuration Management tools like Ansible
• Familiarity with Version control systems, especially Git
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD using GitLab CI
• Ability to modify, maintain, and evolve legacy systems and code
• Proficiency in standardising systems and code
• Experience with cloud applications, specifically AWS
• Skilful use and operation of tools including Bash, Python, Ansible, NGINX, GitLab, Jira, and Confluence

What the job involves

• Lead multiple cross-functional agile delivery teams, guiding and supporting DevOps Engineers. Ensure the stability, availability, and quality of our software applications and services. Drive technical evolution within the organisation, evaluating and adopting emerging technologies.
• Provide leadership to a diverse team, offering expert advice and resolving complex problems. Collaborate with DevOps Engineers and key technical decision-makers to define and execute strategic delivery visions. Foster relationships with stakeholders, ensuring security, stability, and capacity are integrated into service development and deployment.
• Develop and support the Engineering capability by nurturing talent, shaping career paths, and recruiting new talent. Act as a departmental representative, promoting Engineering and DevOps practices, standards, and processes.
