Requirements
- BEng 2:1 or higher in Mechanical Engineering Master’s preferred
- Proven mechanical engineering experience in a highly regulated sector
- Strong knowledge of design for fabrication welding and manufacturing tolerancing
- Experience with heavy industry design such as offshore oil and gas construction equipment or similar
- Strong knowledge of mechanical and structural engineering principles including mechanical handling and machinery design
- Ability to lead teams and delegate tasks effectively
- Chartered Engineer
- Experience with MathCAD and FEA software such as ANSYS or STAAD
- Experience with piping design software such as Fluid Master Fluid Flow or CAESAR
- Must be a sole UK national and eligible for SC clearance

Day to day
- Lead and mentor engineering teams to deliver high-quality mechanical solutions in a regulated environment.
- Oversee mechanical design from concept through manufacture, including bespoke handling systems lifting equipment and accessories.
- Develop review and verify technical documentation, calculations, drawings, compliance files and risk assessments while coordinating with project managers stakeholders and vendors.
