Requirements

  • JD from an accredited US law school and admission to at least one state bar
  • 5+ years of legal experience in a law firm or in-house
  • Excellent drafting negotiation and communication skills
  • Experience with contract redlining and negotiation
  • Experience with software licensing and/or SaaS contracting preferred
  • Comprehensive general legal knowledge with the ability to communicate with non-lawyers
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Adaptability flexibility and creativity in problem-solving
  • Business-oriented mindset with a practical approach to legal risk
  • Superior organizational skills and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

Day to day

  • Draft, review, edit, redline, and negotiate a wide range of commercial and technology contracts including software licenses and SaaS agreements.
  • Provide practical legal advice across business functions such as human resources, corporate governance, litigation, and compliance.
  • Support privacy, security, and industry regulatory compliance while partnering closely with sales, finance, vendors, and outside counsel.
