Requirements

  • 3-5 years of recent dedicated litigation docketing experience in a law firm
  • Primary responsibility for calculating calendaring and maintaining litigation deadlines
  • Strong knowledge of federal state and local court rules litigation procedures and calendaring requirements
  • Experience researching and applying federal state local administrative agency statutory and individual judges' rules across multiple jurisdictions
  • Experience using litigation docketing or calendaring software with CompuLaw Vision highly preferred
  • California litigation docketing experience highly preferred
  • Experience using PACER PACERPro and other legal research resources preferred
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite particularly Excel and Adobe Acrobat
  • Exceptional attention to detail strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities meet competing deadlines and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced high-volume environment
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with attorneys litigation support professionals and administrative teams
  • Ability to exercise discretion and handle highly confidential information with professionalism

Day to day

  • Calculate and calendar litigation deadlines across federal state local administrative and agency jurisdictions
  • Review court filings docket activity legal documents and correspondence to identify critical deadlines
  • Research and apply court rules while maintaining accurate litigation calendars and supporting attorneys with timely docketing requests
