Remote Machine Learning Engineer Job in United States Reddit, Inc.

Who you are

• 2-3+ years of professional experience with Machine Learning in a production environment
• Solid theoretical knowledge of Machine Learning and Statistical concepts, including Deep Learning, and awareness of performance tradeoffs
• Experience with recommender or ranking systems is a plus
• Proficiency with Tensorflow, Keras, or PyTorch
• Experience with data-intensive systems and production-quality software
• Preferred languages are Python or Golang
• Knowledge of kafka, ksql, and flink is a plus
• Ability to extract insights from data
• Proficiency with SQL
• Passion for building delightful products for users
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

Desirables

• Experience in recommender systems
• Experience in ranking systems

What the job involves

• Own projects from ideation to production and collaborate with other software engineers to improve recommendation systems and models
• Work with billions of events and terabytes of data generated daily to personalize Reddit for each user and help them connect with their communities
• Train, evaluate, and deploy sophisticated machine learning models to enhance user experiences
• Participate in the full software development cycle, including design, development, QA, deployment, experimentation, analysis, and iteration
• Collaborate with different disciplines and other ML teams at Reddit to find solutions to complex challenges
