Remote Manufacturing Engineer Job in Grand Prairie, TX Lockheed Martin

Who you are

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline
• Manufacturing background
• Shop floor experience preferred
• Ability to obtain a security clearance
• Ability to liaison between LM Subcontractors, internal disciplines, and Production Operations
• Ability to interpret drawings
• Electrical schematics
• Wiring diagrams
• Product/performance specifications
• Other systems integration technical data
• Proficient in MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
• Ability to travel domestically and/or internationally
• Experience with Computer Aided Design (CAD) modeling
• 2 years of professional experience
• US Citizen
• Ability to telecommute part-time

• Experience in design for manufacturing/assembly or design to cost
• Experience in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)

What the job involves

• You will act as the Production Operations Point of Contact to various suppliers and Lockheed Martin make sites to proactively identify and work issues ahead of production impact
• Your responsibilities will include leading Production Line Validations (PLVs) at Lockheed Martin and supplier sites
• You will perform Make or Buy analysis, proposal support, submitting design Change Requests (CRs) and reviewing engineering Change Notices (CNs)
