Remote Mechanical Design Engineer Job in United States Apex Systems

Who you are

• 3+ years engineering experience of mechanical building systems
• 2+ years experience using Revit for producing mechanical engineering BIM models, construction drawings, and Revit family content
• Practical knowledge and understanding of mechanical codes and safety regulations

Desirables

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Experience directly related to mission critical projects or Data Center design and construction
• Experience applying Lean principles to design modeling and drawing production
• Use of the following software tools: Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, Bluebeam, Dynamo, RF Tools, CTC Tools, Procore
• Familiarity with the BIMForum LOD Specification, AIA and NBIMS standards, and best practices for BIM collaboration
• Experience observing construction, familiar with construction technology, familiar with construction practices

What the job involves

• Generate comprehensive mechanical construction drawings derived from the BIM model, adhering to BIM standards and SOP's
• Perform mechanical systems analysis and review of the mechanical design requirements, HVAC, plumbing and fire protection for the project
• Develop and manage the mechanical systems of Revit models, including tailoring and maintenance of BIM content and system configurations
• Collaborate with other disciplines to identify clashes and conflicts, ensuring proper coordination between mechanical systems and other building components
