What the job involves

• The Advanced Threat Warning System (ATWS) program area is in need of an experienced design engineer
• Primary job responsibilities include conceptual and detailed mechanical design tolerance analyses and performing trade studies
• The individual will be responsible for 2D and 3D engineering model and documentation creation and initial release
• Coordination with other engineering and production disciplines for change notices and drawing revisions for producibility and affordability improvements
• Candidate will be working in the ATWS program area designing precision mechanical and opto-mechanical prototype production and test hardware
• Tasks and responsibilities include support of system and subassembly level test planning and execution production nonconformance Material Review Board (MRB) disposition and coordination and support for outside suppliers
• Presentations at Integrated Product Team (IPT) meetings Preliminary Design Reviews (PDRs) Critical Design Reviews (CDRs) Design Assurance Reviews (DARs) and other internal and external customer reviews
