Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a related field of study
Minimum of 5 years of experience with large metal forming machinery
Experience working with large motors driven systems, both hydraulics and servo-hydraulic systems
Experience working with large tonnage presses, >20 MN
Understanding of aluminum extrusion processes, materials science, and mechanical properties of metals
Experience using FMEA methodologies to manage risks related to new equipment designs and well as new processes
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment and communicate complex technical information clearly
Meticulous with respect to documentation and organization of large CAD datasets
Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work
Desirables
Experience with extrusion modelling tools such as Altair Inspire, Qform, Simufact, Deform
Linear stress analysis using FEA tools and general stress analysis of heavy machine framing/componentry
Experience with industrial control systems/sensors used in heavy manufacturing industries
Shop floor/hands-on experience within the metal extrusion or metal forging industries

Become Atomic13’s in-house technical expert on Atomic13’s groundbreaking first ever commercial sized shear extrusion press
Extensive interfacing and excellent communication with an external press builder throughout the detailed design, build and commissioning phase of the project
