Requirements
- 5-10 years of industry experience
- Experience in construction contractor or engineering firms
- Proficiency with HAP HVAC and energy calculations
- Knowledge of ASHRAE 62.1 compliance
- Ability to design HVAC airside and hydronic systems
- Experience with kitchen grease exhaust and makeup air design
- Ability to size DWV and domestic water systems
- Experience sizing hot water plants and equipment
- Knowledge of grease interceptor sizing and layout
- Ability to create plumbing isometric diagrams
- Strong Microsoft Excel and office skills
- Experience with Google Drive or similar collaboration tools
- Strong document management and organization skills
- Knowledge of SD DD and CD design phases
- Understanding of permitting RFIs and addendums
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and company drafting protocols
- Sound knowledge of MEP-related building codes including IBC NEC NFPA UPC and IMC
- Ability to conceptualize building systems for coordination among trades
- Proficiency in developing clear scope-apparent MEP drawings
- Strong communication and client management skills

Day to day
- Design HVAC and plumbing systems for a wide range of projects including hospitality healthcare education and residential work
- Perform engineering calculations and equipment selection using HAP ASHRAE compliance and related sizing methods
- Develop coordinated MEP drawings and documents in AutoCAD while managing layouts code requirements and design phases
