Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in aerospace aerodynamics mechanical or electrical engineering from an accredited college or university
  • At least 4 years of mechanical systems engineering experience within aviation aerospace or defense
  • Familiarity with troubleshooting and integrating test equipment electrical power air conditioning cabin pressure hydraulics and mechanical aircraft systems
  • Experience reading creating and editing drawings in AutoCAD or similar CAD software and work instructions in Microsoft 365 and Adobe Acrobat
  • Experience in prototyping and validating installations
  • Ability to use Microsoft 365 including Excel Word Outlook and PowerPoint
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Must qualify for Secret Clearance

Day to day

  • Support DoD aircraft platforms by designing, executing, and troubleshooting mechanical systems and modifications.
  • Develop technical solutions for maintenance and operational problems while assisting with aircraft rigging, hydraulics, fuel, pressurization, and fire detection systems.
  • Perform engineering investigations, prepare analyses and reports, and present findings to management while ensuring repairs meet naval aviation maintenance policies.
