Requirements
- 5+ years of relevant engineering experience delivering mechanical system designs
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field
- Experience in regulated environments such as nuclear aerospace defense utility or industrial capital projects
- Understanding of nuclear QA programs such as NQA-1 and compliance documentation
- Ability to support large design efforts with multiple interfaces and stakeholders
- Ability to maintain communication in virtual and hybrid team environments
- Ability to travel up to 20% depending on project phase
- Must be a U.S. person eligible for DOE Export Control requirements under 10 CFR 810

Day to day
- Design and develop surface mechanical systems for a reactor pilot project, from early concepts through licensing, fabrication, construction, startup, and turnover.
- Prepare diagrams, specifications, procurement documents, and award recommendations while coordinating technical scope across multiple engineering disciplines.
- Support partner and subcontractor interfaces, participate in design reviews and workshops, and help drive decisions in a fast-moving first-of-a-kind environment.
