Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Minimum 2+ years of MV switchgear design experience
- Required Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor SolidWorks or similar 3D CAD tools
- Strong AutoCAD 2D drafting experience
- Familiarity with PDM systems and ERP-integrated design environments
- Solid understanding of MV switchgear construction and design principles
- Working knowledge of IEEE C37 standards and MV UL requirements
- Experience with metal-clad and or metal-enclosed switchgear design including busbar systems breaker compartments and cable sections
- Knowledge of insulation clearances dielectric spacing and creepage distances up to 38kV
- Structural design for short-circuit withstand and safety considerations
- Strong problem-solving skills attention to detail and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

Day to day
- Design and develop mechanical layouts and assemblies for MV switchgear and related systems
- Create and maintain detailed 3D models and 2D drawings using Autodesk Inventor or similar and AutoCAD
- Collaborate cross-functionally with electrical engineering and production teams to ensure seamless integration
- Provide hands-on factory floor support to troubleshoot and resolve design or assembly challenges
- Contribute to R&D initiatives and continuous improvement efforts
- Ensure compliance with industry standards customer specifications and manufacturing requirements
- Manage project timelines deliverables and documentation with a high level of ownership
