• Extensive technical leadership experience in Logs, Metrics, APM
• Architecture or technical lead on large projects with 100+ engineers
• High level of autonomy
• Experience with Elastic Stack
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills

Desirables

• Inheriting existing medium-to-large scale projects
• Experience in developing APM and Logging products at scale
• Contributions to open source projects

What the job involves

• Shape the technical aspect of Elastic’s observability solution
• Work with Observability solution and Platform leadership
• Evolve Observability platform
• Lead efforts in architecture evolution and roadmap implementation
• Provide escalation for complex technical challenges
• Collaborate with technical leads from Solutions and Platform teams
• Review and approve implementation designs
• Communicate Observability roadmap internally and externally
• Represent Elastic at conferences and networking events
• Mentor tech leads
