Who you are

• Extensive experience in technical leadership role with Observability (Logs, Metrics, APM)
• Worked as architect or technical lead on large projects involving 100+ engineers
• Experience using or managing the Elastic Stack
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong analytical, debugging, and troubleshooting skills

Desirables

• Record of inheriting medium-to-large scale projects
• Experience developing APM and Logging products at scale
• Contributions to open source projects like OpenTelemetry, Prometheus
• Experience in technical discussions and requirements analysis

What the job involves

• Shape the technical aspect of Elastic’s observability solution
• Define technical strategy with Observability solution and Platform leadership
• Lead efforts to evolve architecture of the Elastic Observability solution
• Guide technical discussions and requirements analysis with partners and customers
• Represent Elastic at conferences and networking events
• Participate in recruiting efforts and mentoring tech leads
