Remote Onsite Desktop Support Engineer Job in UK DXC Technology

Who you are

• Must hold or be able to obtain UK GOV Security Clearance at SC level
• Must have a full clean UK Driving License and proven troubleshooting skills
• Experience in a similar role within an ITIL environment is essential
• Strong PC/Desktop support knowledge including Microsoft Windows XP/7/10
• Excellent communication skills both face-to-face and over the phone
• Ability to administer Windows Share File permissions and mobile connectivity (e.g. Android/iPhone)

What the job involves

• Carrying out security audits of all devices holding data on the network by scanning and reporting
• Installing moving adding and changing devices across the network
• Providing break-fix solutions for in-scope managed devices
• Acting as hands and eyes support to visually verify the state of managed devices such as servers and network devices
• Supporting special project activities as needed
• Managing asset and stock as well as the lifecycle of loan user equipment
• Serving as a central point of contact for customers providing software and system fault diagnosis analysis and fix
