What the job involves
The Paralegal works directly with our attorneys to prepare for upcoming cases and gets involved in fact-finding projects.
The individual manages attorney caseloads by being organized, professional, responsible, and committed to helping the Firm meet all our clients’ needs.
Works with attorneys to develop legal arguments, motions, and other case filings.
Utilizes existing files and a variety of other research resources to develop information for pending cases.
Drafts discovery demands and responses, including Requests for Production, Interrogatories, Notices for Discovery and Inspection, and Requests for Admissions.
Processes deposition transcripts.
Prepares trial and arbitration hearing binders.
Assists with drafting documents such as: Motion to Strike, Motion for Continuances, Proposed Orders, Requests for Judicial Notice, Evidentiary Objections, etc.
Assists with e-filing in State, Federal and Appellate Courts and checks the Court’s local rules.
Prepares timelines and demonstrative exhibits.
Drafts routine legal correspondence.
Prepares first set of exhibits for motions, discovery responses, etc.
Reviews outgoing document production, including redacting and Bates stamping.
Creates Preservation of Evidence Letter and Document Request Letters.
Performs legal research.
Conducts social media searches.
Reviews, summarizes, and analyzes medical records to assist with the defense of action.
Performs other duties, as needed, to support the firm and office operations.
