What the job involves

  • The Paralegal works directly with our attorneys to prepare for upcoming cases and gets involved in fact-finding projects.
  • The individual manages attorney caseloads by being organized, professional, responsible, and committed to helping the Firm meet all our clients’ needs.
  • Works with attorneys to develop legal arguments, motions, and other case filings.
  • Utilizes existing files and a variety of other research resources to develop information for pending cases.
  • Drafts discovery demands and responses, including Requests for Production, Interrogatories, Notices for Discovery and Inspection, and Requests for Admissions.
  • Processes deposition transcripts.
  • Prepares trial and arbitration hearing binders.
  • Assists with drafting documents such as: Motion to Strike, Motion for Continuances, Proposed Orders, Requests for Judicial Notice, Evidentiary Objections, etc.
  • Assists with e-filing in State, Federal and Appellate Courts and checks the Court’s local rules.
  • Prepares timelines and demonstrative exhibits.
  • Drafts routine legal correspondence.
  • Prepares first set of exhibits for motions, discovery responses, etc.
  • Reviews outgoing document production, including redacting and Bates stamping.
  • Creates Preservation of Evidence Letter and Document Request Letters.
  • Performs legal research.
  • Conducts social media searches.
  • Reviews, summarizes, and analyzes medical records to assist with the defense of action.
  • Performs other duties, as needed, to support the firm and office operations.
