Requirements
- Strong understanding of payroll systems and processes
- In-depth knowledge of payroll-related legislation
- Proficient in payroll software (e.g., ADP Celergo and or iTrent) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
- Exposure to Business Objects would be an advantage
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Nice to have
- CIPP qualification
- Knowledge of German language
- Knowledge of German payroll
Day to day
- Assist in the preparation and end-to-end payroll processing for 5000+ employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and legislation
- Ensure payroll complies with PAYE and other policy and legislative requirements
- Assist in conducting regular audits to ensure data integrity and accuracy
- Prepare and analyse payroll reports as needed for both internal and external auditors as well as external reporting
- Oversee the maintenance and updates of the payroll system, ensuring it meets the needs of the organisation and complies with all regulations
- Supervise and support the payroll team, providing guidance, training, professional development and optimise performance
- Address and resolve payroll-related inquiries and discrepancies promptly and professionally
- Support in identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of the payroll function
- Work closely with HR, Finance, and other departments to ensure seamless integration of payroll processes with other business functions
- Assist in managing year-end payroll activities, and reconciliation tasks
