Requirements

  • Strong understanding of payroll systems and processes
  • In-depth knowledge of payroll-related legislation
  • Proficient in payroll software (e.g., ADP Celergo and or iTrent) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
  • Exposure to Business Objects would be an advantage
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills

Nice to have

  • CIPP qualification
  • Knowledge of German language
  • Knowledge of German payroll

Day to day

  • Assist in the preparation and end-to-end payroll processing for 5000+ employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and legislation
  • Ensure payroll complies with PAYE and other policy and legislative requirements
  • Assist in conducting regular audits to ensure data integrity and accuracy
  • Prepare and analyse payroll reports as needed for both internal and external auditors as well as external reporting
  • Oversee the maintenance and updates of the payroll system, ensuring it meets the needs of the organisation and complies with all regulations
  • Supervise and support the payroll team, providing guidance, training, professional development and optimise performance
  • Address and resolve payroll-related inquiries and discrepancies promptly and professionally
  • Support in identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of the payroll function
  • Work closely with HR, Finance, and other departments to ensure seamless integration of payroll processes with other business functions
  • Assist in managing year-end payroll activities, and reconciliation tasks
