Day to day
- Serve as a proactive business partner acting as the primary contact for planning and reporting needs
- Provide analytical support for the annual financial plan and forecasts ensuring strategic alignment
- Prepare monthly variance reports comparing results to plans and prior year outcomes developing rolling forecasts
- Act as a consultant providing support to Finance Business Partners and departments to enhance decision-making
- Participate in cross-divisional projects contributing to initiatives that drive success
- Perform interpretive analysis giving insights on cost improvement opportunities or efficiencies
- Regularly assess the Credit Union's position relative to financial plans and long-term forecasts
- Support or lead the budget education process enhancing financial literacy among employees
- Stay updated on GAAP and regulatory matters ensuring compliance in financial reporting
- Assist in preparing forecast documents for Executive Management and the Board giving clear financial insights
- Maintain knowledge of accounting and financial planning systems supporting analysis and reporting
- Conduct ad-hoc analyses and financial forecasts to support business needs
- Communicate effectively with all employees ensuring alignment in achieving goals
