Planning & Financial Reporting Analyst

Day to day

• Serve as a proactive business partner acting as the primary contact for planning and reporting needs
• Provide analytical support for the annual financial plan and forecasts ensuring strategic alignment
• Prepare monthly variance reports comparing results to plans and prior year outcomes developing rolling forecasts
• Act as a consultant providing support to Finance Business Partners and departments to enhance decision-making
• Participate in cross-divisional projects contributing to initiatives that drive success
• Perform interpretive analysis giving insights on cost improvement opportunities or efficiencies
• Regularly assess the Credit Union's position relative to financial plans and long-term forecasts
• Support or lead the budget education process enhancing financial literacy among employees
• Stay updated on GAAP and regulatory matters ensuring compliance in financial reporting
• Assist in preparing forecast documents for Executive Management and the Board giving clear financial insights
• Maintain knowledge of accounting and financial planning systems supporting analysis and reporting
• Conduct ad-hoc analyses and financial forecasts to support business needs
• Communicate effectively with all employees ensuring alignment in achieving goals
