Remote Platform Engineer Job in UK Centrica

Who you are

• Champion operational excellence in developing and maintaining Big Data platforms
• Manage and execute upgrades to Data Services infrastructure
• Collaborate with fellow engineers to develop scalable, secure solutions
• Engage with business stakeholders for operationally sound solutions
• Collaborate with Platform Engineering Manager to manage operational expenditure
• Expertise in Cloud infrastructure, especially AWS and Azure, with 2+ years experience
• Proficient in tools like Terraform, Ansible, and scripting languages Python, Linux
• Proficient in continuous delivery tools like Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GIT
• Proficient in *nix systems, especially open-source Linux and Windows server builds
• Strong understanding of cloud networking principles
• Passion for high-quality software with history on Github
• Self-motivated, approachable, positive attitude
• Bachelor's degree in engineering or software-related field
• Minimum 2 years experience in SysAdmin, Operations, DevOps, or Site Reliability Engineering
