Who you are

  • Relevant qualification or demonstrated practical experience in PR and Communications
  • Basic project management skills
  • Content writing skills with the ability to adapt content depending on audience and channel
  • Excellent attention to detail and desire to achieve great results
  • Competence in using the Microsoft Office suite of programmes (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Strong communication skills and confidence to liaise with colleagues and stakeholders

Desirables

  • Experience with simple design software (for example Canva)
  • An interest in the UK media landscape and on what makes a good story
  • Experience using Microsoft Teams and SharePoint



What the job involves

  • Support the communications team with external communications campaigns by helping to identify opportunities, assisting with campaign planning and delivery, and creating engaging and accessible content
  • Help to develop engaging and accessible content for sharing across multiple channels, including website, media, and social media
  • Provide administrative support to assist with planning, delivery, and evaluation of external communications campaigns
  • Scan the external environment to identify potential communication opportunities or advocates and feed ideas back to the team
  • Support the Internal Communications Manager to deliver staff-focused updates and campaigns
