Who you are
Relevant qualification or demonstrated practical experience in PR and Communications
Basic project management skills
Content writing skills with the ability to adapt content depending on audience and channel
Excellent attention to detail and desire to achieve great results
Competence in using the Microsoft Office suite of programmes (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Strong communication skills and confidence to liaise with colleagues and stakeholders
Desirables
Experience with simple design software (for example Canva)
An interest in the UK media landscape and on what makes a good story
Experience using Microsoft Teams and SharePoint
What the job involves
Support the communications team with external communications campaigns by helping to identify opportunities, assisting with campaign planning and delivery, and creating engaging and accessible content
Help to develop engaging and accessible content for sharing across multiple channels, including website, media, and social media
Provide administrative support to assist with planning, delivery, and evaluation of external communications campaigns
Scan the external environment to identify potential communication opportunities or advocates and feed ideas back to the team
Support the Internal Communications Manager to deliver staff-focused updates and campaigns
