Requirements
- Experience in PR journalism communications or a related field
- Good working knowledge of the UK media landscape especially education national and charity press
- Strong written communication skills and confidence drafting pitches and press materials
- Systematic organised approach to building and maintaining media lists
- Access to Cision Vuelio or similar media intelligence tool is desirable but not essential
- Interest in mental health children’s wellbeing education or the charity sector
- Availability from August 2026 through October 2026

Day to day
- Build a tailored media database covering education national parenting charity sector and regional outlets
- Identify and organise the right journalist editor and news desk contacts for each target outlet
- Draft compelling pitch emails follow-up copy and supporting materials for the campaign
- Send pitches manage timely follow-up and track responses coverage and interview requests
