Requirements

  • STEM degree with 8+ years relevant experience or advanced degree with 5+ years experience
  • Hands-on troubleshooting experience
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently
  • Experience in defense or aerospace industry preferred
  • Knowledge of EMI EMC lighting protection circuits and testing preferred
  • Experience with circuit simulation or PCB layout tools preferred
  • Experience with avionics certification requirements such as TSO DO-160 DO-254 or MIL-STD-461 preferred
  • Ability to perform root cause analysis and corrective actions preferred

Day to day

  • Design and analyze ruggedized avionics Circuit Card Assemblies for computing and networking products
  • Develop and review mixed-signal schematics and oversee PCB layout for high-speed digital hardware
  • Support integration testing troubleshooting and lifecycle execution from pursuit through factory transition
  • Collaborate with systems software mechanical manufacturing and cost teams to deliver reliable compliant products
  • Mentor junior engineers and help drive design for manufacturing testability and thermal performance
