Who you are

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science Computer Engineering or related field
  • 6-10+ years of experience with the Linux kernel
  • Deep understanding of memory management in the Linux Kernel
  • Excellent understanding of the Linux development process and upstream contributions
  • Excellent C and assembly coding skills
  • Strong build debug and test skills
  • Ability to evaluate and improve performance
  • Track record of delivering complex software projects in an open source community
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Good leadership skills


What the job involves

  • Develop the core kernel for Oracle Linux enhancing memory management especially where it intersects with filesystems
  • Deliver innovative changes for upstream Linux kernel community focusing on scalability and performance
  • Collaborate with other Oracle groups to meet their requirements and support change
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers
