• 5+ years of experience working on Observability or Security products.
• 10+ years of product management experience in data products and data visualizations.
• Ability to distill complex concepts into clear wireframes and requirements with a focus on user experience.
• End-to-end thinking on all aspects of a use case.
• Experience working with large engineering teams on complex UX problems.
• Ability to articulate the 'why'.
• Technical proficiency with a passion for scalable services to query, render, and take actions on data in Elasticsearch.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Comfort working in a cross-functional role with a distributed, global team.

What the job involves

• Lead and drive the product vision of Kibana.
• Deliver key product initiatives across Kibana product areas, focusing on data visualizations and administrative experiences.
• Collaborate with other product managers and the engineering team to align roadmaps, making informed product choices and trade-offs.
• Review and approve Kibana product requirements and designs on key features.
• Interface with customers and the community to gather feedback and usage information to develop product insights.
• Capture market trends and competitive data to inform product direction.
• Facilitate and participate in design thinking sessions, brainstorming concepts, testing hypotheses, and creating visual examples with wireframes.
• Collaborate with the engineering team to define and manage platform components, and understand platform architecture to drive strategic initiatives.
