Requirements
- MSc or PhD in a relevant discipline such as Electrical Engineering Physics Applied Mathematics Aerospace Engineering
- Strong background in estimation theory optimisation probability and statistical signal processing
- Excellent Python programming skills for simulation analysis and algorithm development
- Experience improving estimation algorithms using real-world datasets
- Strong understanding of RF propagation and signal processing principles
- Knowledge of orbital mechanics and satellite geometry
- Ability to critique and improve complex algorithmic codebases
- Comfort working with imperfect operational datasets and iterative improvements

Day to day
- Own and improve TDOA FDOA and AoA estimation algorithms for a commercial satellite RF geolocation system
- Develop mathematical models from first principles and validate them using real operational data
- Analyse performance investigate systematic errors and refine signal processing and calibration methods
- Translate validated algorithms into production-ready specifications and support technical stakeholders
