What the job involves

• Responsible for advanced planning design and build of security systems applications environments and architectures; oversees implementation of security systems applications environments and architectures for compliance with standards
• Provides technical advice and direction to support the design and development of secure architectures
• Participates in an incident management team responding to security events bringing advanced skills to investigate intrusions and oversee root cause analysis
• Coordinates incidents with other business units and may act as Incident Commander for serious incidents develops new methods playbooks scripts applications and trains others
• Evaluates technical architectures for security risk recommends controls and provides technical advice to support secure architecture design
• Researches evaluates tracks and manages security threats where in-depth analysis and programming/scripting knowledge is required
• Works with Senior management to develop and implement a multi-year security roadmap
• Focuses on operational and strategic level tasks providing counsel and guidance to junior security operations engineers
