Remote Principal Software Engineer Job in Redmond, WA Microsoft

Who you are

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related technical discipline AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
• 2+ years of experience managing software engineers as well as developing highly effective engineering teams
• 2+ years of experience architecting and designing complex software systems / distributed services
• Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role

What the job involves

• Manage, coach, and mentor engineers, building a high-performing engineering team
• Develop and maintain extensive knowledge of our platform and space, identifying opportunities and designing solutions
• Work closely with customers and partners to understand their requirements and scenarios, leading towards necessary solutions
• Define a direction for your team to deliver solutions and adjust as needed when facing challenges
• Collaborate with other engineers, program managers, and designers to deliver end-to-end experiences that delight customers and users
