Remote Principal Software Engineer Job in Washington, DC Microsoft

Who you are

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field OR equivalent experience
• 8+ years technical engineering experience
• Coding in languages like C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
• Experience with cloud-scale services and server/service management features
• Proficient with REST APIs and web services across multiple systems

• Experience with building cloud-scale infrastructure
• Passion for cloud-scale distributed design and patterns
• Familiar with secure software design concepts
• Proven track record of delivering projects
• Ability to collaborate with partner teams
• Solid coding, debugging, algorithm design, problem-solving skills

What the job involves

• Design and deliver systems that enable partners and ISVs to migrate from other cloud providers with zero customer impact throughout the change management cycle
• Improve core systems performance and efficiencies while providing telemetry for optimizing the service and pinpointing issues
• Collaborate with other teams across Microsoft to deliver large scale, distributed architectures and features for OneDrive and SharePoint's core infrastructure needs
