Remote Principal Software Engineer Job in Washington, United States Microsoft

Who you are

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages like C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience
• 6+ years of professional experience building, running, and maintaining highly resilient, distributed cloud services at scale
• 4+ years of professional experience in OOP server-side development building large-scale distributed systems
• Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements
• Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft background and Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter

Desirables

• Effective communication, collaboration, and leadership skills
• Independent, capable of making decisions in an ambiguous environment
• Familiarity with any modern continuous delivery/deployment systems
• Familiarity with Application (HTTP, HTTPS), transport & security (TCP/UDP, TLS) protocols
