Remote Principal Technical Writer Job in UK Oracle

Who you are

• 5+ years experience as Technical Writer, Editor, or similar.
• Upper Intermediate/Advanced English proficiency.
• Hands-on knowledge of Markdown/AsciiDoc.
• Experience in documenting complex engineering environments.
• Strong drafting, copyediting, and proofreading skills.
• Familiarity with project management tools like Atlassian, Jira, and Confluence.
• Experience with Git or similar source code management systems.

Desirables

• Bachelor's degree in technical field
• Familiarity with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure
• Experience with frontend technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
• Knowledge of structured writing (DITA)
• Familiarity with Bitbucket and GitHub

What the job involves

• Deliver accurate developer-facing content on time.
• Create API documentation, user guides, release notes, blog posts, reference manuals, white papers.
• Review and edit content developed by other team members.
• Work closely with team to ensure consistency in documentation.
• Design graphics and diagrams to simplify complex concepts (optional).
