Requirements
- Demonstrate ability to learn technical processes and solve problems
- Previous experience in technical and manual tasks in an operational, process-based industry
- Ability to prioritize workload and take ownership of site issues
- Effective team worker comfortable using a wide range of IT systems
- Ability to carry out manual handling duties, work at heights, and deal with raw sewage
- Required to work in confined spaces and pass strict medical criteria (BMI, vision, blood pressure, hearing, Spirometry tests)
- Full valid driving licence with no more than 6 points
Day to day
- Safely undertake operational and maintenance activities for wastewater treatment works
- Conduct daily routine manual and technical work tasks on site, including operations, instrument calibration, and basic maintenance checks
- Manage and prioritize workload based on available resources
- Maintain safe working environment by implementing Health and Safety procedures, managing contractors, and resolving hazards
- Use process information to optimize site processes and improve efficiency in cost and energy generation
- Drive process optimization to minimize operational costs and meet performance targets
