Requirements
- 3 to 6 years in communications PR or industry relations
- Experience in a technically complex or regulated sector such as mining energy heavy industry pharma medical devices aerospace or similar
- A track record of earned media you can point to with the pitches behind it
- Experience owning conference presence end to end including budget
- Excellent writing with the ability to be precise and compelling at the same time
- Comfort working independently setting priorities and telling us when something should not be said that way
- Self-direction in a remote role
- Willingness to learn the mining domain and avoid treating it as interchangeable with other B2B verticals
Nice to have
- Good personality
Day to day
- Build and manage press and media relationships across mining trade press resource-sector financial media and relevant technology outlets
- Write and place press releases pitches technical bylines and executive commentary with precision and clarity
- Prepare founders and technical leads for interviews panels analyst conversations and act as the first point of contact for inbound press
- Track coverage and industry conversation then report on what is landing to help shape future communications
