Requirements
- Strong experience installing electrical works within renewable energy utilities industrial or power infrastructure projects
- Good understanding of current BS 7671 Wiring Regulations and NICEIC requirements
- Experience working with grid-connected systems and network operator processes
- Ability to review electrical designs and ensure installations are delivered to the required standard
- Strong communication leadership and problem-solving skills
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation JIB Gold Card or equivalent
- NVQ Level 3 in Inspection and Testing 2391-52 or equivalent
Nice to have
- HV and LV systems experience
- Solar PV experience
- BESS experience
- Electrical Qualifying Supervisor experience
- CDM awareness
- Factory acceptance testing experience
- Commissioning experience
- Energisation experience
- EAS-aligned qualifications
Day to day
- Lead electrical surveys and grid connection activities across renewable energy projects
- Act as the main electrical technical contact for design construction commissioning and energisation support
- Review electrical designs equipment selections and site changes to ensure compliance safety and buildability
- Manage contractors supply chain quality issues and team development to support consistent project delivery
