Who you are
- Experience in overhauling and rebuilding engines
- Meticulous planning and recording skills
- Communication ability with various stakeholders
- Apprenticeship or 5 years' experience in a similar role
- Knowledge of gas engines (e.g., Siemens, MAN)
- Experience in commissioning engines post-rebuild
Desirables
- Gas safe qualification
- Fault diagnosis skills
- Experience with engine retuning
- Proficiency in rigging and jacking equipment
What the job involves
- Liaise with service team for major engine rebuilds
- Complete engine long block exchanges
- Remove and replace main components
- Conduct mechanical fault diagnosis
- Coordinate parts stock and tooling
- Assist in repairs and breakdowns
- Share knowledge for system improvement
