What the job involves
- Design and implement database solutions to meet business requirements
- Create entity-relationship diagrams (ERDs) and data models
- Normalize data and ensure data integrity
- Write efficient and optimized SQL queries for data retrieval manipulation and reporting
- Develop and maintain stored procedures triggers and functions
- Troubleshoot and optimize SQL code for performance
- Maintain database schema and drive the dev ops process to reliably propagate changes to test and production
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data from various sources into the database
- Ensure data consistency and accuracy during the integration process
- Maintain thorough documentation of database schemas data dictionaries and processes
- Document changes and updates to the database environment
- Respond to and resolve database-related issues and incidents promptly
- Provide support and assistance to end-users and other teams as needed
