RESEARCH ENGINEER

Seeking an experienced Research Engineer for an aerospace engineering team specializing in advanced propulsion systems and aerodynamics. The Research Engineer will be responsible for conducting cutting-edge research to develop innovative solutions and improve existing technologies. You will work closely with the R&D team to design experiments, analyze data, and implement new methodologies. This role requires a strong background in engineering principles, analytical skills, and the ability to work on complex projects.

Hourly Commitment: 10 to 15 hours per week

Responsibilities

Conduct research to develop new technologies and improve existing propulsion systems and aerodynamic designs. Design and execute experiments to test hypotheses and validate models. Analyze experimental data using statistical methods and computational tools. Develop and maintain detailed documentation of research processes, findings, and conclusions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate research outcomes into product development. Stay updated with the latest advancements in aerospace engineering and related fields. Prepare technical reports and presentations to communicate research findings to stakeholders. Assist in the preparation of research proposals and grant applications. 

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Strong knowledge of propulsion systems, aerodynamics, and related engineering principles. Experience with experimental design and data analysis. Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. 

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) and FEA (Finite Element Analysis). Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to aerospace engineering. Knowledge of advanced manufacturing techniques and materials. Certification in project management or related areas.
