  • Strong commercial focus with extensive hands-on marketing experience.
  • Relevant market experience essential, including Digital.

  • Proven experience of managing budgets.

  • Knowledge of different marketing channels and tactics and the merits and drawbacks of each.

  • Excellent communication and influencing skills.
  • Previous Ruminant or Animal Health Experience.



What the job involves

  • Shape and develop highly effective brand strategies and execute tactical marketing plans to ensure market share, sales, and profitability targets of core focus brands are achieved.
  • Discover and act on market information to help Boehringer become the preferred partner for customers and ensure sustained market-leading performance of the respective brand.
  • Lead on the development and implementation of tactical marketing plans and product-related communication, aligned with global strategies as appropriate.
  • Ensure the marketing mix plan and tactics are adequately adapted to each sales channel's requirements, including online.
  • Liaise with other sales and marketing colleagues to ensure fit of activities into the sales plan.
  • Roll out activities to colleagues and ensure understanding of activities.
  • Monitor and review the success of activities and adapt marketing activities where appropriate.
  • Produce accurate and timely forecasts, budgets, and market share information, and recommend timely and appropriate action in order to achieve marketing and financial objectives.
  • Produce and present Brand & Business reviews to Senior Management.
  • Manage and track advertising & promotions budget and spending, evaluating its effectiveness.
  • Maintain knowledge of the market and competitor activities and produce market reports and competitor analysis.
  • Build positive relationships with relevant external bodies, key influencers, and opinion leaders within the industry by addressing meetings, attending conferences, and general customer liaison at all levels.
